*Don Campbell suggests Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in his book "The Mozart Effect." Here he taps the power of music to heal the body, strengthen the mind and unlock the creative spirit, to paraphrase the fly-leaf.

As a classically trained music teacher, I love classical music. However, the teacher part of me recognizes and appreciates all styles of music. Each person has their own favorite kind of music. It does need to be semi-slow and soaring, with no jarring or heavy beat.

3) Choose A Life Purpose

As human beings, we need each other. However, we need more. The MORE we need is a purpose to rise from bed in the morning, get dressed, brush our teeth and eat a good, healthy breakfast. Then find our way to the place where we do our work, fulfill the purpose for which we were born.

Some MS patients feel they do not have the ability to work. If you are one of those, go back to numbers one and two until you are able to work at something.

Others like myself and many others, are only slightly afflicted by our MS and have done their life's work to the best of our ability for many years. Some are just beginning or at various stages in their careers.

I found my life purpose early. My parents recognized my musical talent since this child sang at the drop of a hat or standing in the back seat of the family automobile. They provided their only child with piano lessons in second grade. A second-hand upright piano stood in our dining room. Mother played it occasionally. Dad played the radio or records on the stereo. Dad's father played trumpet. No one ever knew where my singing voice originated.

That is an example for you. Let your life purpose evolve and develop. Changes in your life circumstances may require alternatives or a different career path. Whatever you choose, a good idea is to keep it related to your life purposes.

Inserting a picture of a furry friend to provide you a few suggestions to think about:

Decide what your interests and talents are and do some research or talk to people in that profession. Perhaps you may need to volunteer for a time to gain experience or "get your foot in the door." Eventually, it will happen for you, regardless of the poor economic situation.
