Timothy Johnson's Guide to Photography Training in Essex - Hobbies - Photography

Photography is a hard industry to get involved in, I should know I have tried, thankfully there are a number of people and courses out there that can help you along the way with photography courses. Essex seems to be a popular destination for a large portion of these courses, maybe because it's close to London, maybe because it's got some wonderful scenery that can be used to help train individuals.

Some people might laugh when they hear that people are actually taking photography courses. Essex's leading trainer explains that this is quite natural. 'People seem to assume that you just point the camera at an object and click the button, this opinion is just ignorance. There is a fine art that is required to obtain the perfect photo; it depends whether or not you want to get a blur effect, the speed of the object that you are focusing on and a hundred other different variables.'

So what can you expect to receive from photography courses? Essex based teacher Timothy Johnson explains that the course they offer is split into two man parts, theory in the classroom and practical work which is performed in the field of the person's chosen subject.

'Obviously we try to make the course as fun as possible, but it is important that we have some class time where we can work with individuals and teach them how to properly operate their equipment. Professional photographers operate heavy duty lenses and the perfect picture can come and go in a second, especially if you are working in the sports environment. So it is vital that you know how to correctly set up your camera.'

So is there anything to say that if you want to get into this industry that you must take training in photography courses? Essex based teacher Timothy Johnson doesn't think so. 'I would go as far as to say that you have to take a course to get into the industry, all I would say is that if you want to take it seriously and make a healthy living out of it, then it would be beneficial to take a course. If you don't feel like coming in to train then there are a number of courses online that you could also take part in.'

So there you have it, if you want to make a career from taking photos get yourself on photography courses. Essex, Sussex, Suffolk and Kent all have spaces available right now.
